Hello my lovelies! Today’s post is one that I spent hours scouring the internet for this time last year! Prom is such an important time for young people- it indicates the fact that you have completed your mainstream education. However, I found it a challenge to create a makeup look that would look great, be comfortable and not break the bank. So, today, I am going to share the look that I chose with you all!

The Products
My prom was in June and it was extremely hot over here in the UK as we were going through a heatwave so I decided to keep my makeup quite minimal so that it would last throughout the day. All of my products were bought on the high street so didn’t cost much at all.
For my skin, I used my usual La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ moisturiser. This has SPF in it so it was perfect for a day like this and kept my skin from looking too shiny. I then used the Rimmel BB cream in the shade Very Light. This was ideal for a small amount of coverage but wouldn’t look cakey throughout the day. I then used a little of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Extra Fair under my eyes and anywhere that I felt that I may want a little more coverage and used a small amount of the Collection Translucent Loose Powder to keep things in place. I dusted a little of my NYX Pigment in Go H.A.M on my cheekbones to act as a subtle highlight as I didn’t want anything that would look bad on camera.
Moving on to my eyes, I used a little bit of my concealer to act a base and onto this, I applied the NYX Lid Lingerie in Gold Standard. I can’t seem to find this product online to link for you guys but any vibrant metallic liquid eyeshadow/cream will do the job. On to this, I packed my NYX Prismatic Eyeshadow in Liquid Gold. I blended this into my crease, mixing it with a little brown shadow for extra definition. For liner, I used my trusty L’Oreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer to create a simple winged eyeliner (I find that this is great for framing my eyes which are quite big but a little sunken). My mascara of choice was the Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara in Ultra Black. This was my go-to for fluttery natural lashes and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. It is most definitely a product that I recommend as it is easily layerable for more impact!
On my lips, I opted for my trusty MAC Velvet Teddy with a light gloss over the top to add a little sheen to my look.
I hope that you enjoyed this post and it has given you some inspiration for your own prom makeup! If you know somebody who would find this useful, please share it and I would love to see your prom makeup looks so be sure to show me on social media!
Until next time,
Chantelle xx
