Hello my lovelies! Today I am going to tell you all about my manicure must-haves. I love having my nails done, something about it makes me feel so much more put together. However, the price that comes along with it is something that I just can’t justify as a student. So, over the last year, I have been trialling out different nail products to find something that makes my nails look great as well as keeping them healthy!

Strengthen
I had some acrylic nails put on for my prom last June. However, my nails grow quite quickly so I only had them for a week and a half. After their removal however, I found that my natural nails were very brittle. So, it was at this point that I invested in the Sally Hansen ‘Hard As Nails’ nail strengthener. This is a brilliant product and one that I totally attribute my nail health to. Infused with Nylon fibres, applying two coats solely or as a base before your colour makes your nails feel stronger and healthier. I find that it also fills ridges in quite well and thus makes a great base beneath nail colour.
Colour
I find that any colour works well if you apply it correctly. I personally like Poundland Make-Up Gallery nail polishes in dark colours as they seem to apply quite nicely. They also have a beautiful rose gold polish called Copper Kiss which is stunning. I also really like the Rimmel 60 Second nail polishes. My favourite shade is Black Cherries which is a deep purple/nearly black with the tiniest hint of glitter- only noticeable in certain light.
Protect
To preserve my nail polish, I like to use the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. This is brilliant for making your polish last longer as well as making it dry quicker- so that you can do your nails before bed without the fear of those odd bed-sheet lines (that isn’t just me is it? Let me know!) Simply paint your nails with the colour and allow it to air dry for two minutes. Then apply a coat of Insta-Dri and within 30 seconds, you should notice that your nails are basically dry! I am still careful after this for a while so I don’t accidentally chip them but in a rush, this could be a really handy product to have!
So everyone, I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I would love to see pictures of your nails as I am always looking for new colours and styles to try so be sure to tag me in them on Instagram!
Until next time my loves,
Chantelle xx
